So FIFA is throwing a little party on Copacabana Beach. They've set up a whole compound for pre-game festivities, the game on the big screen and then a post-game concert. We figured that, like New Year's Eve in Times Square, this is just one of those stupid things that you have to do once in life (and then never, ever again).
Starting at 11, they're letting the first 20K fanatics in before they close the gates. Like paranoid Americans, we figured we needed to get on line early to get in. Showed up at 7:15ish, we were second in line. It's now 9; there are 5 groups in line.
Game starts at 5pm.
Gonna be great.
